Different types of energy resources

Many sources can be used to generate energy resources. The Earth's natural resource is the first. These sources can include wood, agricultural waste, and energy crops. Landfill gas is another resource that can be utilized. These resources are very varied and can need individual management. This can be solved by treating each resource individually.

Natural resources

Renewable resources are those that can be replenished. However, nonrenewable resource cannot be used up once their stock has been exhausted. Metals, such as iron, are not renewable because they cannot be remined. With increasing human populations, there is an increased demand for renewable resources. Renewable resources are now available in greater numbers than ever before, even though fossil fuels have been used to generate energy since the late 1800s.

Natural fuels

Natural fuels are one the oldest forms for energy. While coal was a valuable source of energy for a long period, it is less common now that renewable energy sources are more cost-effective. Many countries are moving away from fossil fuels and in favor of renewable energy sources.

Oil

Oil can be used to power many industrial processes. Oil has its drawbacks. The first is its limited supply. Oil's limited supply is a major problem. Another disadvantage is its impact on the environment. The oil extraction causes significant damage to marine life and pollutes the waters around the globe.

Hydroelectricity

Hydroelectricity has the potential to be an endless source of energy and is renewable. It works well in combination with other renewable resources such as solar power and wind energy. It's also one of most flexible forms for energy generation. It can be activated or disabled in less than two seconds and is highly responsive. It is a great option for managing production levels throughout the day.

Bioenergy

Bioenergy can be used to produce electricity, heat and other energy resources. Global bioenergy capacity was approximately 110 gigawatts in 2016, which is about 2% of the global total electricity generation. During that same time, the average annual capacity increase was between five and seven GW. Bioenergy is cost-effective and can provide a reliable source of renewable energy.

Nuclear energy

Nuclear energy is a renewable power source that can generate electricity while avoiding polluting. It is used to power space exploration, to sterilize medical equipment, to provide potable water through desalination, and to produce radioisotopes for cancer treatment. It is also used to support clean air initiatives and combat climate change.
